What
The Southbound Highway 87 on-ramp from the I-280 Highway will be closed.
Why
Construction crews will be placing K-Rail and Crash Cushions to stage for the construction of the I-280 Soundwalls Project.
Detour
For Northbound Highway 87:
- Exit on Bird Avenue, turn left onto Bird Avenue, turn right onto San Carlos Street, turn left onto Woz Way, continue forward onto the NB 87 Highway entrance.
For Southbound Highway 87:
- Exit on Bird Avenue, turn left onto Bird Avenue, turn right onto Auzerais Avenue, turn right onto the SB Highway 87 entrance.
Community Impacts
Adjacent community members may hear construction noises, including voices, items dropping, and back-up alarms from heavy equipment. Residents may also see lights, necessary to illuminate the worksite.
