The Story Road & Capitol Expressway Intersection will be closed to through traffic in the Eastbound and Westbound directions. Lanes will be open in the North and Southbound directions.
*This closure will not occur on the following nights: 8/8, 8/12, and 8/15
Crews will be removing falsework from the superstructure, revealing the bridge over the intersection. A nighttime road closure is necessary due to traffic impacts and to ensure the safety of crews.
Adjacent community members may hear construction noises, including voices, hammering, items dropping/clanging, and backup alarms from heavy equipment. Residents may also see lights necessary to illuminate the worksite.
Homes located closest to the construction area may be eligible for overnight hotel accommodations. Please contact the VTA Community Outreach Team.
