I-280 Night Work: September 2–3, between 8:00 PM and 5:00 AM
The most significant community impact during this period will be overnight digging and excavation in the center median of I-280, where crews are preparing the area for a new bridge support (called Bent #2).
Night work is scheduled for:
- Wednesday, September 2, between 8:00 PM and 5:00 AM
- Thursday, September 3, between 8:00 PM and 5:00 AM
Residents at The Hamptons Apartments and guests at nearby hotels may notice nighttime construction noise, lighting, equipment, and construction vehicle activity while this work is underway.
Drivers should:
- Slow down and use caution near the construction zone.
- Watch for construction workers, equipment, and trucks.
- Follow all posted signs and traffic-control directions.
- Allow additional travel time when approaching the I-280/Wolfe Road interchange.

Daytime excavation, underground installation, backfilling, drainage-inlet work, and material deliveries in the construction work areas.
VTA is continuing construction on the I-280/Wolfe Road Interchange in Cupertino. Drivers, nearby residents, and hotel guests should expect the following construction activities around the interchange over the next two weeks.

Residents of The Hamptons Apartments and guests at surrounding hotels should be aware of the September 2–3 overnight digging and excavation in the center median of I-280, between 8:00 pm and 5:00 am.
Potential impacts may include:
- Nighttime construction noise
- Construction lighting will be pointed at construction activities, not at homes or hotels
- Construction equipment and worker activity
- Backup safety alarms that OSHA requires
Parkview & Mine Court
No construction activity is specifically identified on or near Parkview Court or Mine Court from August 30 through September 12.
Residents may experience some indirect traffic impacts from motorists traveling through the broader interchange area; however, traffic will not be diverted through these neighborhoods.
Daytime Traffic Impacts: Northbound and Southbound I-280 Ramps
September 7–11: Crews are scheduled to perform temporary electrical work near the northbound and southbound I-280 ramps, including installation of conduits, electrical boxes, and foundations.
