Attending a World Cup Game?

VTA is the recommended way to travel to and from the San Francisco Bay Area Stadium (Levi’s Stadium) on match days. Additional Light Rail service will operate to accommodate increased demand, and Transit Ambassadors will be stationed throughout the system to assist riders with directions, transfers, and service information.

  • Plan your trip before leaving and allow extra travel time on match days.
  • Purchase your fare in advance to help reduce delays and speed boarding.
  • Review station information, parking options, and service details before traveling.
  • Follow signs and directions from Transit Ambassadors throughout the system.
  • Return Light Rail service will operate for up to two hours following each match.
  • Fans attending official fan Festivals, watch parties, and community events can use VTA to reach destinations throughout Santa Clara County.
  • Select watch party locations may offer special transportation incentives and late-night travel options.

Not Attending the Match?

VTA will continue to provide service throughout Santa Clara County match days. Riders traveling for work, school, appointments, shopping, or other activities should be aware that some Light Rail service patterns will be temporarily modified before and after matches to accommodate increased demand near the stadium.

  • Plan ahead and allow extra travel time on match days.
  • Check modified Light Rail schedules before traveling.
  • Use the VTA Trip Planner for the most up-to-date routing and schedule information.
  • Transit Ambassadors will be available throughout the system to assist riders with directions, transfers, and service information.
  • Service adjustments will be concentrated around the stadium area, while VTA will continue operating service throughout the county.

Riders not attending the match can view modified Light Rail schedules for Friday, June 19 and Monday June 22.
