The 2nd Annual Silicon Valley Mariachi Festival will fill downtown San Jose with rich, powerful sounds on Sunday, July 13. Organized by the Silicon Valley Mariachi Foundation, the festival features music, flavor, and community pride at Plaza de César Chávez. More than a concert, it’s a vibrant celebration of culture and tradition.
This year’s festival is stacked with talent! Don’t miss “La Nueva Reina Del Regional Mexicano,” electrifying folklórico dance performances, and a show-stopping set by the legendary Mariachi Sol de México de José Hernández.
Worried about parking? The Plaza is easily accessible from various parts of Santa Clara County, with convenient VTA Light Rail stations and bus stops nearby. Catch a ride on VTA and let the iconic and memorable sounds of violins, trumpets, guitarrón, and vihuela make you dance and shuffle your feet.

Plaza de César Chávez is just a short walk from three major VTA Light Rail stations:

The Blue and Green Lines serve all three stations and are approximately a five-minute walk from the festival grounds.

- Route 23: De Anza College – Alum Rock via Stevens Creek
- Route 66: North Milpitas – Kaiser San Jose via King Road
- Route 68: Gilroy Transit Center – San Jose Diridon Station
