In celebration of All Aboard Transit Day, VTA is saying thank you to riders by offering FREE bus and light rail service Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2026. Whether you’re a seasoned transit rider or experiencing public transportation for the first time, we hope you’ll hop aboard—it's on the house!

Free service starts at the beginning of service Tuesday, September 15, 2026, through 3 a.m. Wednesday, September 16, 2026. Be sure to plan your All Aboard Transit Day adventures with the Transit app.

In addition, VTA Marketing Staff will be traveling throughout the system handing out exclusive Transit Month stickers to riders during All Aboard Transit Day (9 a.m. until supplies last).
