Valley Transportation Authority and San Jose Jazz are teaming up to give commuters at the Milpitas Transit Center busker-style performances for their commute home. On July 24 and 31 from 5 to 6 p.m., musicians and booths will be set up along the west side of the Milpitas BART building to entertain commuters transferring between VTA and BART.
Music at Milpitas is free and open to the public. Bus Routes 20, 47, 60, 66, 70, 71, 77, and Express 104 can get you to the event alongside the Orange Line. Not commuting? Parking is available at the Milpitas Transit Center.
Both performances are designed to showcase the thriving music scene in Santa Clara County while also promoting the upcoming San Jose Jazz Summer Fest occurring August 7-9 in downtown San Jose. This year's Summer Fest brings superstar Patti LaBelle, Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue, Zapp Ft. Tuxedo, Afro-Cuban All Stars, Joe Bataan, The Soul Rebels, Thee Sinseers, and dozens more. Tickets and passes are on sale now at summerfest.sanjosejazz.org.
